DUAL is pleased to announce the appointment of Sam Rogers to the newly created role of Head of Cyber Insurance for Australia and New Zealand.
Based in Melbourne, Sam has over 12 years insurance experience including 10 years in Cyber-specific roles and has spent the last 5 years as a Managing Principal for Cyber with Marsh Australia.
DUAL Asia Pacific CEO, Damien Coates, announced the appointment, saying:
‘’We are thrilled to have been able to hire someone of Sam’s experience, technical expertise, and market reputation. Sam’s focus will be to deliver solutions for us to meet our broking partners' needs especially as we expand in the mid-market and corporate segments of Cyber to complement our current portfolio of over 6,000 policyholders. With still only 20% of SMEs and less than 70% of corporate businesses purchasing, even after the market more than doubling in size to $480m since 2020 and growing to over $800m in 2024, Sam’s appointment has us ideally placed to be an even bigger player in the local Cyber market over the next few years."
Coates continued,
‘’we know our brokers currently face an extremely challenging market landscape. This is just the first of several exciting announcements and initiatives we have in the pipeline, and we are extremely proud to consistently support our brokers. Our Cyber carriers have just agreed to a significantly broader appetite for our binder, and we are so excited that Sam will lead our expansion in the mid- and corporate Cyber markets."
